2023 - What a year

The year 2023 has been an amazing journey, filled with highs and lows marked by numerous events and achievements. The year started with me completing my first half Ironman in March, which was a significant milestone for me. I had been training for months, and crossing that finish line was such an amazing feeling!
Soon after, I participated in SPARK Deakin, a startup incubator program, where I was part of a team that won the "hit the ground running" award. This award recognised our businesses ease of starting up with little overhead and easy access to customers. We also had the opportunity to meet one of the external judges after the event, who has now partnered up with us to start Ascendify.
Over the next few months, I worked tirelessly to build Ascendify from the ground up. It has been an incredible journey and I have learnt a lot and I have loved every second of it. We have now managed to build and launch this and has been gaining traction ever since.
Amidst all this, I also managed to finish my studies at university. It was a challenging task to balance both university and startup responsibilities simultaneously, but I got there in the end.
After finishing uni, I managed to complete my first marathon in 3 hours and 11 minutes, which is one stepping stone for next year as I prepare for my 100K (Feb 24) and full ironman in Busselton (Dec 24).
Finally, I took part in the Startmate student fellowship, which was an amazing experience filled with learning and networking with some of the brightest minds in Australia and New Zealand in the Startup space.
I am looking forward to next year, I am excited about the upcoming 100k for Alopecia, a charity event aiming to raise funds for research on Alopecia. It's a cause that's close to my heart, and I'm looking forward to help to spread awareness and raise funds.
